the awkward questions
What we are building, what we are deliberately not building, and what happens when you hit a limit.
Why are there no credits?A credit is a unit you have to think about before you do anything, and thinking about it is the whole cost. You get render minutes instead, because minutes of encoding is the thing that actually costs us money, and the number left is on screen at all times.
Why a set of tools and not one editor?Because you almost never want to edit. You want the captions burned in, or the silence gone, or a vertical crop. A timeline makes you build the thing yourself; a tool just does the job and hands the file back. Each one is small enough to open, use and close in a minute.
What will you never build?A timeline. A template marketplace. A trend feed telling you what to post this week. We are not trying to be where you make the video, we are trying to be the part that gets it ready to go out.
What is a custom pipeline? If you put out video every day, the same four tools in the same order every time is a pipeline. We build it as one step, wire it to your storage and your CMS, and it runs without anyone opening a browser. That is what the studio plan is.
What happens when I run out of minutes?Every tool keeps working on our sample clip, so nothing on the site goes dead. Your own files queue until the month rolls over, or you move up. Nothing gets deleted and nothing is held hostage.
Is the free plan a trial? No, and it does not expire. If sixty minutes a month covers what you make, stay on it forever. We would rather you stay free and tell someone than churn off a trial.
Can I use the output commercially? On paid and studio, yes, with no attribution. On free the export carries a small watermark, which is the only thing free is missing.
Can I cancel? From settings, in one click, and it takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for. Your library stays readable for thirty days after that.
